नागपूर येथील १९४२ च्या अ. भा. दलित वर्ग परिषदेच्या अधिवेशन प्रसंगी
दिनांक २० जुलै रोजी परिषदेच्या स्वागत मंडळाच्या वतीने डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांना भावपूर्वक मानपत्र अर्पण करण्यात आले होते. प्रस्तुत ` मानपत्रात दलित वर्गाच्या उत्थान व उद्धाराकरिता संघर्षमय लढा उभारून त्यांच्या राजकीय, सामाजिक हक्कांच्या मागणीकरिता डॉ. आंबेडकरांनी सतत वीस वर्षे
जी स्वाभिमानी चळवळ चालविली आणि अखिल दलित वर्गाची एका संघटनेखाली
सर्व शक्ती एकसंघ. केली याबद्दल त्यांचा गौरव करण्यात आला होता, तसेच व्हाइसरॉयच्या कौंसिलचे सभासद म्हणून नवीन जबाबदारीच्या पदावर त्यांची नुकतीच नेमणूक झाल्याबद्दल त्यांचे गौरवपूर्वक अभिनंदन करण्यात आले होते. ते पुढे दिले आहे-

We, the Chairman and Members of the Reception Committee of the third All India Depressed Classes Conference held at Nagpur, beg respectfully to present you this address on the occasion of your having completed the 50 th year of your age, in token of our grateful apprecia- tion of your long sustained and untiring zeal and work in the cause of the downtrodden dumb millions of india. |
This year is, by coincidence, a most important one in the history ofthe Depressed Classes of India, inasmuch as you have completed the 50 th year of your age and you have now changed your sphere of work from active politics to the executive. If your life history is anything, itis nothing but the history of the progress of the oppressed millions and sacrifice of one individual. You are not only an individual to us but an institution. -You are our sole guide, friend and philosopher, nay, you are the only prop of the Depressed Classes. Your continuous and sus- tained efforts in the just and righteous cause for the uplift of our classes
