Dear Dr. Ambedkar,
Your telegram D/ 18th inst. reached me in time, | could not see Rajbhoj thatday. Ihadalready decided to leave Poona by Friday’s night train but for another purpose, viz: to watch the proceedings of the All Parties Conference at Bombay. That conference was a poor show and a great disappointment to all visitors. So | returned to Poona on Monday morning. | read the account of Dapoli Conference in yesterday's paper and though | was unable to attend personally, must congratulate you upon its decisive success and the most imposing scenes described in papers. It certainly made a great advancement towards the right solution of the knotty problem of untouchability and the general impres- sion left there about the work of the “Samaj Samata Sangha,” must have been indelible.
Hoping you will please excuse me for my absence,
Yours Sincerely,
(Sd.) S. B. Tilak.”
