विशेष आवश्यक अशी गोष्ट आहे. या प्रमेयावर माझा विश्वास नसताना मी हिसच्या तत्त्वावर आधारलेल्या एखाद्या पक्षाला मिळालो आणि ऐन लढ्याला नुमश्चक्रीत अस्थिर अंतःकरणाने बंदूक हातात धरून (विचार करीत स्वर राहिलो तर ते कृत्य किती धोक्याचे होईल बरे ? एखादी माशी मारण्याचे सामर्थ्य माझ्यात नि:संशय आहे ; (या माझ्या म्हणण्यावर वाचकांनी विश्वास ठेवावा) परंतु माशांची हिंसा करण्यास हरकत नाही. या गोष्टीवर माझा विश्वास नसतांना समजा को, मी माशांची शिकार करण्यासाठी स्वारीवर निघालेल्या एका टोळीत केवळ आवश्यक आणि प्रसंगोपात्त कर्तव्य म्हणून दाखल झालो. अशावेळी मला स्वारीत भाग घेण्याला परवानगी देण्यापूर्वी माशांची शिकार करण्यासाठी निघालेल्या तुकडीत मी असे तोपर्यंत माशांचा विध्वंस करण्यासाठी उपलब्ध
AACN सर्व साधनांचा उपयोग करण्याची माझी तयारी आहे, अशी अपेक्षा केली
जाणार नाही काय ? जे कोणी काँग्रेसमध्ये आणि खिलाफत कमिटीत आहेत त्यांना जर हे साधे सत्य पटले तर एकतर आपण आपल्या लढ्याचा चालू वर्षातच निश्चितपणे यशस्वी निकाल लावून घेऊ, किंवा हिंसेचा आपल्याला इतका वीट येईल की अहिसावादाची सारी सोंगेढोंगे आपण पार झुगारून देऊन दुसरा काही तरी कार्यक्रम आखण्याच्या उद्योगाला लागू

But have । not repeatedly said in these columns that it would have India to become free even by violence rather than that she should remain in bondage ?”
